Opening a shared dossier¶
For accountants, auditors and anyone a company shared a dossier with in mScan. You need no mScan account for it.
The list sorts by a click on a column's name; a second click reverses the order.
The search field above the documents finds a document by anything its row shows — shop, date, amount, category, tags. It only narrows what you see: the Excel file and the zip still hold the whole dossier, and the top line then reads e.g. “3 of 24 documents”.
Signing in¶
- Open the link in the email "… shared “…” with you". It is in your language if you chose one in mScan, otherwise in the company's language (Language and appearance).
- Enter the address the email went to. mScan sends you a code.
- Enter the code — you land in the dossier.
You stay signed in for a week of not using mScan, at most 30 days. After that a new code is enough. Every dossier shared with your address — from several companies too — is under Shared with me.
What you can see and do¶
- Documents shows the documents in the groups the company chose; a click opens one: the original beside what mScan read from it.
- Spreadsheet shows one row per document; Excel downloads it.
- Download zip downloads the whole dossier, one folder per group; you choose whether the result PDFs, the originals, the receipt sheets and the spreadsheet go in.
- On a document: Download original and Download receipt sheet.
If the company gave you Edit, you can also correct what mScan read (Edit data) and have the receipt sheet made again. The company sees every change, and that you made it.
You cannot delete, file, or see any other document of the company.
When the dossier is gone¶
Access lasts until the company revokes it, or until the expiration date it set. After that mScan says "Not shared with you". Ask the company to share the dossier again.
What mScan keeps about you — your email address and when you opened the dossier — is in the privacy policy (German).
