Sending documents

For anyone a company — their accountant, say — asked for documents by email. You need no account and no app from a store.

How it works

  1. Open the link in the email — on your phone, or on a computer. Reading the mail on a computer? Point your phone's camera at the QR code in the mail.
  2. You see the list of documents asked for. Tap one.
  3. Take a photo: photograph each page (Take the next page for more), or choose a PDF. On a computer, just drag a PDF or photos onto the page.
  4. Send — and on to the next document.

You can stop any time and carry on later with the same link: the list shows what has already arrived. A document asked for again ("page 2 is missing") comes first, with the note.

No connection? What you photographed stays on the device and is sent as soon as the phone is online again. You can also put the link on your home screen as an app (mScan Upload).

The page and the request's emails come in your language if the company has recorded it for you; otherwise in the company's language. More under Language and appearance.

What happens to your documents

  • The page only shows which documents arrived — never the documents themselves. So whoever has the link can read nothing of yours; they can only send documents in your name. Keep it to yourself.
  • Photos are cropped and straightened — by software on Earlybyte's own servers, with no other company's AI. Nothing is read from your documents.
  • Your documents go only to the company that asked you, and are stored encrypted. They are never used to train a model.

If the link takes nothing any more, the company closed the request — contact it directly. More in the privacy policy (German).
