Language and appearance¶
mScan comes in German, English, French and Italian. You set your language, and whether mScan looks light or dark, yourself — for you, on every device.
Your profile¶
Click your name in the sidebar (the user menu) and choose Profile. Under Preferences:
- Language — As the company (your company's language) or one of the four languages. mScan, the scan app and the emails you get use this language.
- Appearance — System (follows your device), Light or Dark. The choice follows you to other browsers. The Light or dark button in the sidebar saves it too.
Every change is saved at once.
Which language mScan uses¶
For a person, in this order:
- the language they chose themselves — in their profile or in the scan app;
- else the language their company set for them (in the person's dialog, see managing people);
- else their company's language. Earlybyte sets it; every new company starts in German. The company's receipt sheets are in it too;
- else German.
The sign-in page follows your browser's language; you switch it at the bottom of the page.
Emails go out in this language:
| Email or page | Language |
|---|---|
| Sign-in code, scan link, PIN reset | the person's language |
| The emails of a request and the page where clients send documents | the client's language (the Language column of the client list), else the company's |
| Email about a shared dossier | the invited person's language, else the company's |
| Link to connect SharePoint and OneDrive and its page | the language chosen when the link was sent |
How managers set a person's language is under Managing people.
